We at the Greater Lincolnshire Local Enterprise Partnership would like to send our congratulations to everyone whose work was recognised in the New Year Honours List.
Best known is almost certainly the Deputy Chief Medical Officer Professor Jonathan Van-Tam, who attended Boston Grammar School and who has been knighted for his work during the pandemic.
Jonathan Broomfield’s work as Director of the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) based in Grantham was recognised with a CBE.
An OBE was awarded to Erika Jane Stoddart, Chair of the TEC Partnership in Scunthorpe, for services to education, while it was for services to equestrianism that Lincoln Paralympian Sophie Wells was awarded her OBE.
Margaret Po Ling Bailey, an occupational psychologist with RAF Recruitment and Selection in Grantham, was awarded an MBE, as was Paul Clifford Hugill, owner and head chef at the Priory Hotel (Louth), who was honoured for his work with people with learning difficulties.
Samantha Richardson, Director of the National Coastal Tourism Academy based in Bournemouth in Dorset, was recognised with an MBE for services to coastal tourism.
We’d like to congratulate all these inspiring individuals as well as the other Lincolnshire heroes who were honoured in the New Year Honours List 2022.
