We're pleased to welcome a Greater Lincolnshire recruitment expert to our Board of Directors.
Mandy Watson, founder and co-director of Ambitions Personnel, brings a specialism in skills and employment and she will shadow our Employment and Skills Advisory Panel as part of her new role.
Pat Doody, Chair of the Greater Lincolnshire Local Enterprise Partnership, said: "We are delighted to be able to appoint Mandy Watson as a Director on the Board.
"She has vast experience as a businesswoman in Lincolnshire, having founded Ambitions Personnel 30 years ago, and we're looking forward to working with her, particularly in the areas of skills and employment."
Mandy founded Ambitions Personnel in 1990 and is co-director with her sister Claire. The agency runs eight offices across Lincolnshire, Cambridgeshire, Derbyshire, Essex and Nottinghamshire. Working within logistics, food, supply chain, print and clerical, Ambitions looks after thousands of temporary workers as well as filling vacancies for hundreds of companies and individuals a year.
Mandy said: “It’s an incredible opportunity for me to be able to join the Greater Lincolnshire LEP, knowing what influence the board has across the region and beyond. I hope that my insight into employment and the skills required to drive us forward prove useful. There is a real need to recognise that an all-encompassing approach needs to be made, not only in education but also by employers to encourage innovation and to work towards a common goal to make sure the area can flourish.
“This year has seen some setbacks in all industries because of the ongoing COVID-19 restrictions, but Greater Lincolnshire in particular has shown how resilient it can be in continuing in the face of adversity. I’m looking forward to meeting the challenges this creates but also to working together with my colleagues on the board to set out an agenda to match Greater Lincolnshire’s potential.”
