If you lead a visitor economy business and you want to help the sector to recover, we'd like to hear from you.
The LEP is looking for a business leader from the visitor economy sector to join its Board of Directors and play a key role on its Visitor Economy Board.
The successful candidate will help lead Greater Lincolnshire’s tourism and hospitality sector into a brighter future focusing on economic recovery and growth.
“Our visitor economy is normally worth over £2.39 billion per annum and it supports at least 30,000 full-time equivalent jobs – but for much of the pandemic our hotels, restaurants and visitor attractions have been closed,” said Pat Doody, Chair of the Greater Lincolnshire LEP.
“We’re looking for a business leader who can bring a depth of experience and make an active contribution to the work of the LEP, strengthening the organisation’s role as the main thought leader influencing economic development and place-making in Greater Lincolnshire and delivering the Greater Lincolnshire Economic Plan for Growth.
“The new director may also be asked to take on the role of Chair or Vice Chair of our Visitor Economy Board, which supports the sector and shapes and influences the future of the visitor economy in Greater Lincolnshire.”
The successful candidate will serve as a Director of the Greater Lincolnshire LEP for a three-year term, attending meetings (sometimes virtually) every month.
For an informal discussion about the role contact Ruth Carver, Chief Executive, on 07787 508000.
To apply send a covering letter and a CV to sue.groves@lincolnshire.gov.uk.
The closing date for applications is 5pm on Friday 28th May 2021.
