The annual Greater Lincolnshire LEP Conference drew a big crowd to the Lincolnshire Showground.
The annual Greater Lincolnshire LEP Conference took place at the Lincolnshire Showground on Friday 28th September 2018 and drew an enthusiastic gathering of well over 300 delegates.
They heard our Chair Ursula Lidbetter MBE give an optimistic assessment of Greater Lincolnshire's economic future as well as an illuiminating talk by Sir John Peace, Chair of the Midlands Engine.
The theme of the day was The Future of the Lincolnshire Economy and four panels stimulated discussion on skills, digitalisation, robotics and automation and water and energy.
At the end of each panel members of the audience were invited to have their say by answering a question relevant to each topic.
Following the speeches and panel discussions four guest experts led round-table discussions on topics such as Brexit, skills, robotics and infrastructure.
There was also an exhibition featuring a range of businesses and public-sector organisations, a visit by the Department for International Trade's Export Hub truck and ample opportunity for delegates to network.
