The LEP is holding two events in February to explain the Career Learning Pilot.
The Greater Lincolnshire LEP is holding two events for local businesses and stakeholders to explain the Career Learning Pilot, recently awarded to our area by the Department for Education.
The events will take place on 9th February at Market Rasen Racecourse and on 15th February and Springfields Centre in Spalding.
The Career Leaning Pilot aims to:
- aims to support local businesses by filling their skills gaps
- aims to make it easier for adults to take part in training to help them get a new job or change career. This could involve subsidising the loan they need to take part in training
The first part of each event will describe the aim of the pilot, while the second part will include table discussions.
Refreshments will be available from 9am. The events will start at 9.30am and finish at 11.45am.
Who should attend?
The events will be of interest to:
- employers who want to upskill their staff
- businesses with managerial or technical skills gaps who would benefit from being able to recruit newly qualified adults
- local partners who engage with adults in work, or adults who may be considering a return to work
- local education and learning providers with adult learner loan provision
Please confirm your attendance by emailing Laura.Spittles@lincolnshire.gov.uk and follow up information will be provided.
If you would like to discuss the events further please call Clare Hughes on 01522 550545.
