A visionary disruptor and self-styled ‘tech rebel’ will deliver the keynote speech at our conference next month.

Brett StClair worked at Google and Barclays before founding Teraflow.ai as he continued his relentless pursuit of innovative solutions to transform businesses.

His talk will set the tone for this year’s conference on Thursday 7th November 2024, which will take Innovation for Growth as its theme – and tickets are still available.

The conference at the EPIC Centre, Lincolnshire Showground, will highlight how innovation has been pivotal to economic success in Greater Lincolnshire and which innovation-led trends are predicted to benefit businesses in the future.

The innovative Demonstration Arena will showcase the latest technology and innovation from Greater Lincolnshire businesses and academics. Among the disruptive tech on show will be:

  • a Boston Dynamic robotic dog being used by STEP, an ambitious project to develop a prototype fusion power plant at West Burton in Nottinghamshire
  • SKYPERION, a signals intelligence system for countering drone threats developed by Metis Aerospace
  • an innovative, fully automatic blueberry harvester developed by Eyre Trailers
  • health training tools and smart mannequins demonstrated by the charity LIVES
  • an electric fish delivery van from Grimsby

The Demonstration Arena will be divided into a number of discrete zones, including the Barclays Eagle Lab Zone, the Federation of Colleges Zone, the Health Tech Zone and the University of Lincoln Zone.

Another highlight of the conference will be the opportunity to hear personal reflections by the current Chair of the Greater Lincolnshire LEP and his two predecessors: Professor Neal Juster, Pat Doody and Ursula Lidbetter.

There will also be panel discussions on innovation for growth and local business innovators.

“This year I’m particularly delighted to join forces with my previous chairs to take the stage in a special Three Chairs conversation to explore our personal highlights since the LEP was launched in 2011,” said Professor Neal Juster, Chair of the Greater Lincolnshire Local Enterprise Partnership.

“We are also proud to be showcasing some of the best innovations from across our region and we’ve set aside a longer expo session for delegates to really understand some of the tech on show and to make those important connections fuelling collaboration.

“Along with our motivating keynote speaker and some thought-provoking conversations, we hope you will take the opportunity to attend this fantastic event, learn something useful and make some new connections!”

The event will take place at the EPIC Centre on the Lincolnshire Showground from 8am until 2pm on Thursday 7th November 2024. Admission is free and there will be the usual networking opportunities and a complimentary lunch for delegates.

Free transport to and from the venue will be available on the Lincoln BIG sightseeing tour bus, departing from St Mary’s Street opposite Lincoln bus station at 7.45am and returning from the showground at 1.30pm.
