Skills Bootcamps in Responsible Management: Sustainability

This Skills Bootcamp will explore the underlying causes of environmental and social unsustainability, as well as considering the implications of these for management and business practice. It will encourage creativity and innovation in the development of new sustainable practices and business models. It will adopt a pragmatic approach that also recognises and addresses the scale of the challenges that will need to be overcome to bring about transformational change. Delegates will also consider the alternative forms of organisation and business that are required within a genuinely sustainable economy. Delivered within a context of responsible management, sustainability requirements are not only driven by government regulation and goals but also as a business continuity requirement. The skills bootcamp is designed to support progression or application into management roles within which there is an increasing focus on sustainability. Delegates will receive a certificate of attendance upon completion of the programme.

This Skills Bootcamp will begin with an introductory session introducing fundamental concepts and offering a comprehensive overview of the significance of sustainability for businesses. Building upon this foundational understanding, participants will delve into the pivotal role of innovation, measurement, and evaluation in attaining sustainability objectives. Through the project component, delegates will have the opportunity to apply these insights to a tangible real-world challenge within their organisation.

This hands-on experience enables them to craft solutions that enhance value, mitigate risks, minimise waste, and propel the organisation towards progress.
