The UK Food Valley is pleased to announce it is working with the German agricultural association, DLG, to support the first UK edition of its very successful Potato Days which have operated for many years in Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium and France.

DLG made the announcement at the Potato Days held in Belgium in early September and the formal launch will be at its showcase event AgriTechnica in Hannover in November 2023.

The UK Food Valley, University of Lincoln and leading local businesses including Dyson Farming, Grimme UK, McCains and industry body GB Potatoes are all supporting the first UK event on 4th and 5th September 2024.

The complete potato production and supply chain will be on show at Dyson Farming, Nocton just to the south of Lincoln.  Visitors will be able to meet the experts, see the latest machinery in action and learn about the research and innovations that are driving this highly valuable sector.

The event will be on a bespoke site of over 20 hectares and feature high quality inside trade stand space for over 100 exhibitors, outdoor static display spaces,trial plots and 15 hectares of live demonstrations including harvesting, load line and handling.

The event will also include potato cultivation, harvesting and storage machinery, machines for treating, packaging and processing, precision farming technologies, digitisation and robotics, marketing and trade of potatoes, seed breeding and related inputs and knowledge exchange and technical programmes with networking opportunities, panel discussions and seminars
