£110M TO SUPPORT THE AGRITECH SECTOR
The Government's reform package to boost farmers' profitability includes £110m to support the agritech sector
This includes:
- Farming Equipment and Technology Fund grants, with a budget of £30m for Productivity and Slurry and £16.7m for Animal Health and Welfare.
- Up to £63m of New Farming Innovation Programme funding in 2025-26. This includes precision breeding, Net Zero transition, and £20m for farmer-led trials to bridge the gap between new technologies and real-world application.
Steve Reed, Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs announced the next rounds of funding for productivity grants at the NFU conference in February.
Grants will be offered through:
- The Farming Equipment and Technology Fund
- The Farming Innovation Programme
- Accelerating Development of Practices and Technologies (the Adopt) Fund
